(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) A small contingency of Westmont's Track and Field hit the road on Saturday to compete at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Invitational in San Diego. The rest of the group continued to prepare for the annual Westmont Classic, which will take place this coming weekend in Santa Barbara.

This past weekend in San Diego a trio of Warriors competed in the women's 800 meter run, with Abigail Hundely finishing the event in 21st place with a time of 2:23.04.
Landon Torres came in afterwards with a time of 2:25.15 and
Annie West followed that with a time of 2:35.41.

West also competed in the women's 1500 meter run, where the Warrior finished in 31st place with a time of 5:07.73. A highlight of the day individually also occurred in the 1500, where Adalyn Rodrigues ran a personal-best time of 5:12.88.

Elsewhere,
Miriam Melkonian finished the 5K with a time of 21:21.26, and
Kayla Wheatley completed the 100 meter hurdles in 19.06. On the men's side,
Easton Rose was the team's lone competitor, as the freshman finished with a mark of 6.01m in the long jump, and a mark of 3.45m in the pole vault.

Rounding things out,
Sierra Gronquist finished with a mark of 4.37m in the women's long jump, and a mark of 2.76 in the pole vault.
