(VISTA, Calif.) Westmont Women's Golf recorded a strong performance in the third round of the Fujikara Invitational at Shadow Ridge Golf Course and moved up two places to finish eighth out of 13 teams. The Warriors. The team's score of 304 (+16) was an improvement by nine strokes over their first round tally, and 15 better than round two.

Hannah Camara led the way for the Warriors, carding a one-over 73 in the final round. That score allowed her to move up 12 positions to tie for 14th (of 74) for the tournament.
Noelle Thompson posted a 74 (+2) in the third round, improving her placement by six places to tie at 26.

"I'm happy to see the bounce-back round on the second day and our continued ability to learn and apply," said Westmont's head coach
Leo Maes. "It's awesome to see Hannah continue her good golf and
Noelle Thompson continuing to get healthy. This group has the potential to compete at a very high level, and we're looking forward to the next two weeks of competition."

The Warriors will be back in action during Spring Break, traveling to Litchfield Park, Arizona to participate in the Southwest Minnesota State Classic at The Wigwam Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, March 16 and 17. In addition to Westmont as the lone team from California, the tournament features NCAA Division II and Division III teams from Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.
