(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) During the last 85 years, Westmont student-athletes have put on the maroon and white and taken to the field, the court, the track, the pool and the course to represent the Warriors. While Westmont teams have a proud history of both academic and athletic excellence, the benefits of being a Warrior go far beyond the field of competition.
Â
Westmont student-athletes build relationships with each other and with their coaches, many of which last a lifetime. The Warrior Alumni Network campaign has a simple aim – keeping former student-athletes connected to each other and to the programs to which they gave so much.
Â
"As we build the Westmont Athletics program for the NCAA Division II era, we need everyone's involvement," said Westmont's director of athletics Robert Ruiz. "We value the relationships we have built over the years and we want to keep our alumni informed about the programs they helped build. We also want to let them know about alumni events, like the celebration last fall of 50 years of women's sports at Westmont that was such wonderful experience for all that participate."
Â
To help facilitate those relationships and keep alumni informed of what is happening with Westmont teams today, Westmont Athletics is asking all former Warriors to share their contact information with the school. As Ruiz said, "We want them to sign up whether they think we already gave their information or not." This will help ensure the accuracy of alumni contact information. This can be done by scanning the QR code below or browsing to
athletics.westmont.edu/WarriorAlumniNetwork, then selecting the information you would like to receive.
