Russell Carr Field

Home to Westmont Baseball, Russell Carr Field underwent a major renovation completed in January of 2010. The award-winning, natural grass field sits atop a state-of-the-art drainage system.

The new facility includes two large dugouts, two batting cages, two bull pens, a 35-foot batter’s eye, a scoreboard and foul poles.

Russ Carr Field commands majestic views of the Santa Ynez Mountains and offers a peek at the Pacific Ocean.

Westmont Track / Thorrington Field

Completed in March of 2010, Westmont Track and Thorrington Field are the home of half of the Warrior’s athletic teams. Thorrington Field serves as the home venue for Westmont Men’s and Women’s Soccer, providing a state-of-the-art grass surface for two of the most storied programs in NAIA history.

Westmont’s men’s and women’s track and field teams and cross country teams benefit from the eight-lane all-weather track, two throwing cages, two shot-put rings, two jump runways, a pole vault pit and a high jump pit. The facility also boasts a fully automatic timing system.

Both soccer and track and field benefit from the large Daktronics digital display board which posts scores and results. Fans enjoy the unique tiered spectator seating with wide grassy areas or can find a more lofty perspective from the deck of the Westmont Observatory.

Murchison Gymnasium

Murchison Gymnasium has been the home for Warriors basketball and volleyball since it opened on January 4, 1969. The gym is part of an athletic complex that includes athletic offices, locker rooms, fitness center, athletic training facilities, and a pool.

The facility is named after Hugh R. Murchison, a former member of the Board of Trustees and a benefactor and friend of the school. The gym seats 1,179 for basketball and volleyball, and 2,400 for chapel, musical presentations and convocations.

The gymnasium was renovated in the summer of 2008 with a new floor, new bleachers, new paint and a new sound system. The result is a brighter, more fan friendly arena which servers our athletes, coaches and fans.

Lynn Abbott Tennis Courts

Westmont’s tennis facility and location is one of the most beautiful of its kind. The eight championship courts are nestled among sycamore and eucalyptus trees, coupled with spectacular views of Santa Barbara’s mountains.

The original facility was updated and additional courts were added in 1977, thanks to a generous donation by Mr. Lynn Abbott. Since that time the area has been nicely landscaped with lawns and flowers, along with picnic tables and benches that combine to make an ideal setting for tennis.

The quality of the facility and Westmont’s beautiful location draw opponents from around the country.

Lynn Abbott passed away in 2000. The Westmont tennis program is indebted to his kindness and generosity.

Westmont Pool

The Westmont pool is located directly behind Murchison Gymnasium and serves as home for Westmont Women's Swimming. The pool is used for swimming classes, rehabilitation, training, and recreation. In addition, Westmont students have formed swimming and water polo clubs which use the facility.

In the summer months, the pool is used for recreation by hundreds of kids who attend summer camps on Westmont’s campus. Pool memberships are available to Westmont faculty and staff, as well as residence of the surrounding community.

The pool has immediate access to locker rooms and shower facilities.

Stan Anderson Golf Complex

Stan Anderson Golf Complez

Dubbed "The Stan" by Westmont golfers, the complex offers on-campus practice facilities for the men's and women's golf teams.

The complex, made possible through the generosity of 1962 alumnus Stan Anderson, includes two synthetic putting greens, a sand trap and two hitting bays.

The golf practice complex was designed and installed by Dave Stockton, Sr. and Dave Stockton, Jr. of Back Nine Greens. The elder Stockton is a five-time major golf champion and Ryder Cup captain.

The facility makes it possible for individual golfers to practice between classes in addition to practice rounds at local golf courses.

Wiegand Fitness Center

The Wiegand Fitness Center is used by athletes and other students, as well as faculty and staff. The fitness center includes a variety of aerobic machines, such as treadmills, elliptical trainers, stair steppers and stationary bicycles. Also available are various weight training machines and an entire room of free weights.
