Bobbie Purify joined the athletic training staff in August 2026, bringing a diverse background across collegiate sports, coaching, and elite summer league baseball. A former collegiate student-athlete, she played basketball at Notre Dame De Namur and William Jessup University, graduating with her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science in 2022.
Following her playing career, she seamlessly transitioned to the sports medicine side of the sidelines, serving as a basketball coach and a paid athletic training aide covering all sports at the College of the Redwoods.She then advanced her clinical expertise by pursuing graduate studies at Northern Arizona University, ultimately earning her Master’s degree in Athletic Training in 2025. During her first graduate academic year (2023–2024) at NAU, she worked directly with the football team and the cross-country program, helping the cross-country squad capture an NCAA National Championship. For her second year of graduate school (2024–2025), she completed a comprehensive clinical rotation at Sacramento State University, providing sports medicine coverage for women’s basketball and football.
In addition to her collegiate athletic experience, she has spent her summers since 2020 assisting with sports medicine coverage for the historic Humboldt Crabs, an independent, wood-bat summer collegiate baseball team. In this role, she provided elite preventive care, acute treatment, and rehabilitation for top-tier NCAA athletes and prospective professional talent.Â
As a certified athletic trainer, she is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
