Junior left fielder Jonathan White's solo home run in the second inning got the Warriors started on the final day of the 2007 season as Westmont took ten innings to defeat The Master's 8-6 in the first game of a doubleheader in Santa Clarita. Junior shortstop Anthony Martinez produced a three-for-four performance at the plate, drove in two runs and scored twice.

After the Mustangs scored twice in the bottom of the third inning, Westmont recaptured the lead with three unearned runs in the fourth inning. White led off with a walk and one out later, a single by catcher Luke Montzingo moved White over to second base. With two away, junior designated hitter Cody Chapman reached on an error by the Mustangs' third baseman which allowed White to score, Montzingo to advance to third and Chapman to take second. Martinez followed with a two-RBI single, scoring Montzingo and Chapman and giving the Warriors a 4-2 lead.

But The Master's evened the score at four with one run in the bottom of the fourth inning and another in the fifth, both the result of lead off back-to-back-to-back singles. In the top of the sixth, Chapman led off with a walk and Martinez laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance him to second. Junior second baseman Philip Valle picked up an RBI with a single which scored Chapman and then moved to second on a single by junior third baseman Erik Gaustad. Sophomore first baseman David Stout drove in Valle with another single to post the second run.

Starter Kellen Skersies entered the bottom of the ninth with a 6-4 lead, but gave up a two-run home run to the Mustang's Caleb Mintz. Skersies, who pitched eight and one-third innings, left the game having given up six runs on 13 hits. He struck out four without allowing a walk. Skersies was replaced by freshman right-hander Timothy Crabbe. After giving up a triple to the first batter he faced and then an intentional walk, Crabbe retired the next five batters, three by strikeout.

Singles by Martinez, Valle and Gaustad loaded the bases for the Warriors in the top of the tenth inning with no outs. A pass ball allowed all runners to move up one base and gave the Warriors a 7-6 lead. After a strike out by Stout, Valle stole home to give the Warriors an insurance run. But it turned out to be unnecessary as Crabbe retired the side in order in the bottom of the tenth to pick up the win.

The Warriors were not as fortunate in game two and lost to The Master's by a score of 8-4. Starter Brandon Downs took the loss for the Warriors after giving up seven runs on eight hits in five and two-third innings of work. Downs struck out five and walked two.

In the first inning, an RBI-double by Erick Gaustad drove in Chapman who had led off the game with a single. Westmont scored twice more in the fifth inning. Senior Andy Dude earned an RBI on a sacrifice fly to left field which scored junior right fielder John Evans and Chapman picked up an RBI when ground ball to short allowed Montzingo to cross the plate.

The Warriors final run came in the sixth inning which Valle led off with a double before advancing to third on a ground ball to short by Gaustad. Stout produced a sacrifice fly to left to bring Valle home. Westmont finished the 2007 campaign with an overall record of 7-38 and a GSAC record of 5-31. Valle led the team offensively with a .364 batting average, though Chapman posted an average of .413 in fifteen games after returning from injury.

Ten different Warriors produced double-digit RBIs led by Valle with 18. Valle and Gaustad led the team in home runs with two each. On the mound, Skersies produced the team's lowest ERA (6.93) while White recorded the most shutouts (50). Barth and Crabbe each recorded three wins to lead the Warriors.
