(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) Westmont Women's Soccer (14-3-2) has been named the number seven seed in the NAIA National Tournament and will host Eastern Oregon (13-3-2) in the Opening Round on Saturday, November 18 beginning at 1:00 p.m. This will be the first meeting between the Warriors and the Mountaineers.

Eastern Oregon earned an automatic berth in the NAIA Tournament by posting a 2-0 victory over Northwest (Wash.) in the championship game of the Cascade Conference Tournament. Westmont and Eastern Oregon have had two common opponents this year – Vanguard and Hope International.

The Mountaineers defeated Vanguard 1-0 on August 28 in Costa Mesa while Westmont lost 1-0 on October 7 and tied the Lions 1-1 in the GSAC Championship game.

Eastern Oregon suffered its first loss of the season against Hope International on August 29, falling to the Royals 1-0. Westmont played Hope International on October 4, winning by a score of 3-1.

The Mountaineers have outscored their opponents 26-7 this year. Sophomore goalkeeper Cydni Cottrell has a 0.41 goals against average and a record of 13-3-1. The Mountaineers have not allowed a goal in their last five games.

Eastern Oregon's top scorers are redshirt junior Natalie Mitchell (7 goals) and junior midfielder Taylor Boyer (6 goals, 3 assists).

The winner of the opening round match-up will advance to the final site in Orange Beach, Alabama where the remainder of the tournament will be played. The second-round game is scheduled for Tuesday, November 28 at 1:30 p.m. against the winner between #10 Columbia (Mo.) who is 20-1-0, and Siena Heights (Mich.) at 12-6-2.
