Head coach
Russell Smelley reflected on the team's overall performance, and on Collier's incredible career.
"I think our team competed well," said Smelley. "There were disappointments because I think some people wanted to do better than they did, but I am pleased with everyone who competed – they came prepared to compete and did what they could do."
"Becky has great humility and ability, a great work ethic, and she performs well under pressure," continued Smelley. "Out of all of the eight national championships she has attended, she got All-American every time she competed at nationals except once. I truly think she is the most accomplished Westmont athlete in the history of any program at Westmont."
