(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) On the first day of the Westmont Holiday Classic, #11 Westmont (8-3) rolled to easy 79-30 win over Cornerstone of Michigan (2-15). The Warriors received tremendous production from the bench, which accounted for 52 of the Warriors' points.

Sophomore
Taylor Rarick led all scorers with 15 points – the result of a perfect five of five from three-point range. Rarick also recorded four of Westmont's 20 steals.

Gabriella Stoll added 13 points for Westmont and pulled down seven rebounds.
Stefanie Berberabe had an outstanding night with 11 points, eight assists, six steals and four rebounds.

Sydney Brown added 11 points and nine rebounds, just missing a double-double in her 21 minutes of work.
Roberta Hays also scored in double-figures, recording 10 points while pulling down five boards.

The Warriors struggled offensively in the first four minutes, managing just four points. A three-point bucket by Berberabe put the Warriors on top 7-6 with 5:18 remaining in the first half and seemed to turn the tide on the Warriors' shooting accuracy.

Brown stole the ball on the ensuing possession and scored on a layup to put the Warriors up 9-6. Berberabe extended the lead to 11-6 after pulling down an offensive rebound and connecting on the put-back.

A layup by the Golden Eagles' Katrina Goebel pulled Cornerstone to within three (11-8) with 2:46 left on the first quarter clock. However, Cornerstone would not score again until Westmont had added 17 more points to its total. The Warriors closed out the quarter on a 9-0 run, including a three-pointer by
Lauren Tsuneishi (6 points) that made the score 20-8.
Westmont continued its run in the second quarter by scoring the first eight points to grab hold of a 28-8 advantage. Rarick hit two of her threes during that span and
Iyree Jarrett (6 points, 4 rebounds) scored on a layup. By halftime, Westmont held a 37-14 advantage.

For the game, Westmont shot 42.3 percent (30 of 71) from the field including 50 percent (9 of 18) from three-point range. The Warriors also held a 42-35 rebound advantage, pulling down 15 balls from the offensive glass.

In the early game of the Holiday Classic, Lewis-Clark State of Idaho (10-2) upended #22 The Master's (8-4) by a score of 70-55. LC State was led in scoring by senior post Hailey Turner. Stephanie Soares led The Master's with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The Holiday Classic continues tomorrow with The Master's taking on Cornerstone at 3:00 p.m. and Westmont hosting Lewis-Clark State at 5:30 p.m.
