(CLAREMONT, Calif.) Westmont Men's Tennis (0-2) fell to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (2-0) by a score of 8-1 Saturday afternoon. As doubles partners,
Jordan Strandness and
Corey Stephens were the lone winners for Westmont.

Claremont carried an early 2-1 lead through doubles play.
John T. Joens and
Miles Hale fell to Oscar Burney and Jack Katzman 8-2.
Christian Mathis and
Luke Whalen were defeated by Julian Gordy and Nikolai Parodi 8-4. Westmont's Strandness and Stephens prevailed over Alfred Simental and Jake Williams by a score of 8-4.

The Stags would go on to sweep the Warriors in singles play. Claremont's Casey Morris made quick work of Hale winning 6-2, 6-2. Jack Katzmen defeated Whalen 6-0, 4-0 (retired). Jake Williams conquered Westmont's
Austin Lee 6-4, 6-1.

Strandness fell to Claremont's Simental 6-3, 6-4. Joens was beaten by Avinash Vemuri 6-4, 6-0. Mathis was defeated by Burney 6-4, 6-2 to finish up the match and bring the final score to 8-1 in favor of Claremont.

The Warriors return to the court for their first home match of the year this Tuesday. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
