(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) #16 Westmont Men's Tennis (6-7, 2-3 GSAC) dropped their Golden State Athletic Conference match Saturday against #10 Arizona Christian (16-5, 5-1 GSAC) by a score of 8-1.
Christian Mathis was the lone winner for the Warriors in the number two singles position.

Singles were played first. Westmont's
Luke Whalen dropped his match at the one position to Enzo Douillac 3-6, 3-6. In the six position, Arizona's Theo Preiswerk took down
Corey Stephens 6-2, 6-2.
Miles Hale fell in the four spot to Marcelo Balderrama 6-4, 6-2.

The Warriors received their only point of the match as Mathis took care of business versus Alberto Lapiedra at twos – winning by a score of 6-3, 6-4. Scott Wheeler used three sets to defeat
Jordan Strandness 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 at fives. To round out singles play, Arizona's Daniel Superlano narrowly edged
John T. Joens 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3 – giving Arizona their match deciding fifth point.

In doubles play, Douillac and Jesse Miritello defeated Mathis and Whalen 8-2 at twos. Santiago Galeffi and Balderrama took down Strandness and Stephens in the three position 8-5. Lastly, Superlano and Lapiedra triumphed over Westmont's Joens and Hale 9-7 – bringing the match to its final score of 8-1 in favor of the Firestorm.

The Warriors will return to the courts this Thursday as they travel to Irvine to face the Eagles of Concordia at 12:00 p.m.
