(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) Freshman guard Krissy Miyahara recorded a season-high 23 points while making seven of 13 attempts from beyond the arc as #15 Westmont Women's Basketball (12-4) cruised to a 106-33 win over Saint Katherine (1-17) on Wednesday afternoon in Murchison Gymnasium. Miyahara also tallied eight assists, four rebounds and three steals.

Sydney Brown posted her third double-double of the season, notching 17 points and 11 rebounds. The freshman forward made seven of 11 attempts from the field. Senor post player Robert Hayes also tallied a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards. Hayes also contributed four assists and two steals.

Taylor Rarick also scored 17 points, 15 of which came on five three-pointers. She also had three rebounds, four assists and a team-high five steals.

As a team, the Warriors made 18 three-pointers, breaking by one the three-point single game record they set just last month against OUAZ. On the season, Westmont has produced a 38.9 percent three-point field goal percentage (140 of 360). Not only does that rank as second best in the NAIA (just 0.2 percent behind Lyon of Arkansas), but it is also the best in Westmont's history (0.2 percent ahead of the 2015-16 team).

The 106 points scored by the Warriors ranks third all-time and is only the fourth time Westmont has broken the century mark in program history. Westmont's 39 made field goals ranks fifth in the Warrior history books.

Westmont tallied 33 assists on those 39 field goals, which is the second most in program history. In December of 2006, Westmont tallied 34 assists in a game at San Diego Christian. In addition to Miyahara's eight assists, Maud Ranger (9 points, 8 rebounds), Iyree Jarrett (6 points) and Lauren Tsuneishi each tallied five.

Westmont jumped out to a 17-4 lead in the first five minutes of the game and never looked back. By the end of the first quarter, Westmont was ahead 25-9. In the second quarter, Westmont outscored the Firebirds 27-8 to take a 52-17 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Saint Katherine rallied a bit in the third quarter, nearly keeping pace with Westmont by scoring 14 to Westmont's 17. However, the Warriors answered in the final frame by outscoring the Firebird 35-2.

Westmont, who is currently tied with The Master's (13-4, 5-1 GSAC) for first place in the Golden State Athletic Conference, returns to conference play on Saturday when they travel to Santa Clarita to take on the Mustangs on their home floor. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
