(SAN DIMAS, Calif.) Westmont Volleyball (18-5, 9-3 GSAC) rebounded from Friday night's loss at Hope International (15-7, 9-3) by sweeping Life Pacific (10-14, 3-10) on Saturday afternoon (25-20, 25-17, 25-22) in a Golden State Athletic Conference match.
Â
"It was a good turnaround for us," said Westmont head coach
Ruth McGolpin. "We talked a lot last night after the match. My opening statement to them today before we played was, 'It's a new day, turn the corner.' It was good to see people play well and play a little looser."
Â
Senior right side hitter
Cassidy Rea led the Warriors offensively by recording 11 kills on 24 attempts without committing a hitting error.
Â
"I was happy to see Cassidy step up and play well," said McGolpin. "Her hitting percentage (.458) was great."
Â
Hali Galloway added nine kills to the Warrior attack while Brooklynn Chenney contributed seven kills, eight serve receptions and 20 digs.
Â
"Brooklynn has been playing every minute of every game since the start of the season and is deserving of being on the floor because she is so steady," offered McGolpin.
Â
