(ATHERTON, Calif.) Six Warriors scored nine or more points as #4 Westmont Women's Basketball (12-2, 5-0 GSAC) defeated the Oaks of #22 Menlo (6-7, 2-2) to extend its winning streak to seven games. The balanced offensive attack saw Iyree Jarrett tally 16 points and seven assists.

Teammate Maud Ranger notched her second double-double in as many games with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Ranger, who was named the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Female Athlete of the Week on Monday, leads the GSAC in rebounding in conference-only games.

Also scoring in double-figures were Lauren Tsuneishi (14 points, 5 rebounds), Gabriella Stoll (12 points, 7 rebounds) and Kaitlin Larson (11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists). Krissy Miyahara came off the bench to added nine points on three-of-four shooting from beyond the arc.

With the score tied at eight, Westmont went on a 8-2 run that stretched into the second quarter. Larson bookended the run with layups, sandwiching a 3-pointer and free throw by Jarrett.

Leading by four (23-19) with four minutes remaining in the second quarter, Westmont produced an 11-3 run to take a 34-22 advantage into halftime. Larson started the run with a layup before Jarrett continued it with a pair of free throws. A jumper by Stoll was followed by a free throws and a 3-pointer by Tsuneishi.

A close third quarter saw the Oaks edge the Warriors by just one point (22-21), making the score 55-44 headed into the final frame.

The last stanza belonged to Westmont as it hummed along to a 25-11 beat before the horn sounded the final note. The Warriors crescendo to a 29-point advantage when Taylor Rarick rang out a 3-pointer and Stoll drummed in a free throw to put Westmont ahead 79-50 with 3:07 to play.

Over the course of the game, Westmont limited turnovers to just six, helping the Warriors achieve a 16-2 advantage on points off of turnovers.

In other GSAC play on Thursday evening, #3 The Master's (17-0, 5-0) defeated William Jessup (10-5, 3-1) by a score of 70-55, handing the Warriors from Rocklin their first conference loss of the year. Fifth-ranked Vanguard (9-2, 3-1) posted an 84-55 win over the visiting Spirit of OUAZ (8-4, 1-3). Hope International (11-3, 2-3) was also a winner, defeating Life Pacific (4-11, 0-5) by an 86-48 differential.
