(SAN DIEGO) The sixth-seeded doubles duo of
Callen Hein and
Ethan Ha advanced to the semifinals, while
Logan Thompson qualified for the singles consolation bracket finals to highlight Warrior action on the second day of the ITA NAIA West Regional.

Hein and Ha won their quarterfinal match, 8-6, against the third seed, Robin Van den Hoek and Antun Katanec of San Diego Christian, setting up a semifinal showdown with second-seeded Nick Nienhaus and Julius Kaufmann, also of San Diego Christian. Nienhaus and Kaufmann defeated the seventh-seeded Westmont pairing of
Matt Alleman and
Zachary Prince, 8-1, in the quarterfinals.

Two other Warrior doubles teams fell short in the quarterfinals after advancing from the first round on Wednesday. Ninth-seeded
Benjamin Saito and Thompson gave the top seed a run for its money, but ultimately lost to San Diego Christian's Chris Papa and Ivan Smith, 6-8.
Sebastian Vethan and
Michael Hopkins, the 13th seed, lost in their quarterfinal match against the fifth seed, Antony Popyrin and Jose Dominguez of Arizona Christian.

Ha was the last-standing Warrior in the main draw of the singles bracket, but the 11th-seeded freshman fell in the quarterfinals to San Diego Christian's Ivan Smith, the third seed: 1-6, 3-6.
Thompson, the fourth seed in the singles consolation bracket, received a first-round bye before winning consecutive matches in the quarterfinals and semifinals to advance to the championship.

Thompson defeated fifth-seeded Ivan Hernandez of Saint Katherine, 8-4, in the quarterfinals before taking down top-seeded Matt Melosch, also of Saint Katherine, 8-2 in the semifinals. The Warrior freshman will take on Saint Katherine's Alessandro Cadena, the second seed, in the consolation final.

Vethan was the other Warrior competing in the singles consolation bracket, doing so as the eighth seed. He won his first round match against ninth-seeded Jardon DiFilippo of Arizona Christian, 8-0. Vethan then came up short against top-seeded Melosch, 3-8, in the quarterfinals.
