(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) Westmont Women's Basketball (19-3, 12-1 GSAC) rolled to its sixth Golden State Athletic Conference win in a row with an 81-53 victory over the Oaks of Menlo (10-12, 6-7). The Warriors built a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never led by less that 10 points again.

Iyree Jarrett led the Warriors in scoring, recorded 21 points and five assists. The sophomore guard shot 50% from the floor (eight of 16), including two of three from beyond the arc.

Maud Ranger notched her ninth double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds. She went four of five from three-point range to help the Warriors, who lead the NAIA in three-point shooting, make 12 of 20 (60%) from beyond the arc.

Kaitlin Larson just missed a double-double, tallying 12 points and nine rebounds. Stefanie Berberabe recorded 13 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Westmont took its first lead (7-6) two and one-half minutes into the first quarter on a jumper by Berberabe – a lead it never relinquished. The rest of the first quarter, Westmont outscored the Oaks 18-6. Jarrett recorded 12 first-quarter points while Ranger had nine.

In the second quarter, the Warriors twice led by 18 points, but gave some back at the end and took a 12-point lead (36-24) into the locker room at half time.

The Warriors returned to form in the third quarter and claimed a 20-point lead (60-40) when Berberabe drained a three with 12 seconds left. Westmont never led by less than 20 in the final frame.

In other Golden State Athletic Conference action, #3 The Master's (24-1, 12-1) defeated William Jessup 75-45 to remain in a tie for first place with the Warriors. #6 Vanguard (18-3, 10-2) took down Ottawa (71-61) in Arizona to hold onto third place in the GSAC standings, one and one-half games behind the leaders.

Next week, Westmont will host Life Pacific (5-17, 1-11) on Tuesday evening, then hit the road to take on Vanguard in Costa Mesa on Saturday.
