(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) The Red Hawks of Simpson (1-3) will send their men's basketball team to Montecito next week to take on the Warriors of Westmont (1-2) in a pair of games at Murchison Gymnasium.
 
The games will mark the first competition between the two teams. Simpson is an NAIA school and a member of the California Pacific Conference (CalPac).
 
The Warriors and Red Hawks will tip off on Friday evening (February 5) at seven o'clock and then play again Saturday afternoon at four in a quick turnaround game.
 
The Warriors are coming off a 117-103 win victory over Saint Katherine (2-1) last Wednesday night.
 
Westmont was intended to play Hope International three times next week, but those games were pushed off to the final week of February due to positive COIVD-19 testing by the Royals.
 
On Tuesday, February 9, Westmont will host Bethesda at four o'clock before beginning Golden State Athletic Conference play the following week.
 
Due to COVID-19 restrictions fans will not be admitted to the games. Online broadcasts are available, however, via the Westmont Sports Network at https://athletics.westmont.edu/video.
