(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) The NAIA's fourth-ranked women's volleyball team is being forced to take a hiatus due to COVID-19 protocols.

On Tuesday evening, Westmont was set to host Hope International at Murchison Gymnasium. Both teams had lined up on their respective end lines and introductions of the starting line-up had begun when word was received of a positive COVID-19 test result. After a 45-minute delay in which additional testing was performed, the match was postponed.

Westmont and Hope were scheduled to play again this evening in Fullerton, however that match has also been postponed. The administration and coaches of both schools, as well as officials from the Golden State Athletic Conference, are working on make-up dates for the missed conference matches.

The Warriors have also pulled out of a pair of matches scheduled to be played at Vanguard this Saturday against Biola and Life Pacific. Currently, there are no plans to reschedule those non-conference events.
