(SAN DIMAS, Calif.) Senior guard Iyree Jarrett scored a career-high 35 points to lead the fifth-ranked Warriors of Westmont (14-2, 7-1) to a 79-35 Golden State Athletic Conference victory over Life Pacific (0-14, 0-8). The All-American connected on 12 of 18 shots from the floor, including seven of 10 from 3-point distance. She also made four free throws and produced six assists.

Jarrett's previous career high was 30 points, which she scored against Lyon (Ark.) during the Round of 16 at the NAIA National Championship.

The 35-point performance ties for the sixth most scored by a Warrior in a single game. With tonight's total, Jarrett sits at 1,215 career points, 12th in the Warrior record book. This season, she is averaging 16.8 points per game.

Allena Cook and Sydney Brown also scored in double figures, recording 11 points each. Brown pulled down 14 rebounds to record her sixth double-double of the season. Cook led the team in field goal percentage, tonight, making five of seven (71.4%).

All eight Warriors who saw action in tonight's game changed the scoreboard. Destiny Okonkwo posted seven points and eight rebounds while Gabriella Stoll notched five points and 11 rebounds.

Ebun Kalejaiye recorded her first points of the season, scoring five and tallying two rebounds.

The Warriors started off slowly and fell behind 10-7 in the first quarter when Life Pacific's Bryanna Felix scored on a layup with 2:10 remaining. However, Westmont responded with a 7-0 run to end the opening frame. Kalejaiye hit from long distance to tie the game at 10 and then scoring on a fast break to put the Warriors up 12-10. Jarrett added a couple of free throws before time expired.

Westmont took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Warriors from San Dimas 22-8 to take a 36-16 lead into halftime. Jarrett tallied 13 points during the quarter on five-of-seven shooting, including two threes.

The third frame saw more of the same with the Warriors prevailing 26-7. The quarter started with a 10-0 Westmont run fueled by two 3-points from Jarrett, a layup by Cook and two free throws from Okonkwo.

In the fourth quarter, Jarrett came out of the game with five minutes to play after scoring another six points. It was the only five minutes she was not on the court.

Defensively, Westmont held Life Pacific to 10 points or less in each quarter, extending its streak of keeping opponents to 10 or less to 12 quarters. The Warriors currently lead the NAIA in fewest points allowed at 48.88 per game.

Westmont is scheduled to host San Diego Christian on Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Murchison Gymnasium.
