(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) On Tuesday, the NAIA officially announced the full 36-team championship field for both Men's and Women's Cross Country, which included Westmont's Men's and Women's Cross Country teams. On Friday, November 18, the eighth-ranked men and ninth-ranked women will compete in Tallahassee, Florida at the NAIA National Championships.
Â
Both teams received at-large bids into the championship race after taking second place in the GSAC Championships last weekend in Rocklin. Westmont's men's team is headlined by 2021 All-American Zola Sokhela, who was the individual conference champion in the GSAC this season.
Â
The men's team also includes
Garrett Miller and
Danny Rubin, who both made the All-GSAC team following stellar races in Rocklin.
Â
This season, the women's team has been led by freshman Annie West, who was named GSAC Freshman of the Year after taking fifth-place at the conference championships. The team also includes All-GSAC runners Kari Anema,
Madden Hundley, and Landon Torres.
Â
Hundley returns to the National Championships after earning All-American status in 2020.
