(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) After helping the Warriors get back into the win column last Saturday, Westmont Basketball's Anthony McIntyre has been named the PacWest Player of the Week. McIntyre is the first Warrior to receive the honor in Westmont basketball's new conference.

"Mack has continued to improve throughout the season," said Westmont head coach Landon Boucher. "He's done an amazing job for us as a senior captain up to this point, but I also see his best basketball directly in front of him.

"The team's success is the most important thing for Mack, and he would be the first person to credit the team's success for this honor."

In an eventual 76-63 win over Dominican, McIntyre scored a season-high 30 points on nine of 13 shooting, while also converting 10 of 11 shots from the free throw line. The Sylmar native also collected five boards, four assists, and a pair of steals to round out his best game of the season.

On the year, McIntyre leads Westmont in scoring with an average of 16.0 points-per-game. The second-highest average on the team belongs to Anthony's little brother, Adrian, who joins his brother in double-figures by averaging 11.7 a contest.

The McIntyre brothers will return to action on Friday afternoon, when they host the Academy of Art Urban Knights inside Murchison Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., and links to live coverage are available on the Westmont Athletics website.
