(CLAREMONT, Calif.) Westmont Men's and Women's competed in the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational this weekend down south, in the teams' final meet before the PacWest Championships.

In a tune-up for the conference meet, Westmont's Jaiden Rodrigues, who broke the program's 100 meter dash record last weekend, came in 10th in this weekend's meet with a time of 12.39. In the 200 meter dash, Charlotte Williams and Rodrigues were neck-and-neck on the leaderboard, with Williams coming in 18th at 25.29, and Rodrigues coming in right after with a time of 25.30.

Elsewhere, Westmont's Anneline Breytenbach had a stellar performance in the women's 5000 meter run, coming in fourth-place with a time of 18:30.26. Also finishing near the top of the leaderboard was Abby Rumohr, who finished second in the pole vault with a best-jump of 3.40m (11-1.75).

On the men's side, Narindra Rafidimalala was Westmont's best-finisher in an uber-competitive 100 meter dash, coming in 17th with a time of 10.80. In the 800 meter run, former NAIA All-American Andres Leon was Westmont's top-finisher, coming in with a time of 1:56.04 in 12th-place. Jack Vanden Heuvel also experienced some success in the 1500 meter run, finishing in the top-10 with a time of 3:53.32.

One of the day's most-notable performances was that of Bryce Gardhouse, who won the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:50.40. Gardhouse defeated UC Merced's Jonathan Chavez by more than four seconds to finish atop the leaderboard on Saturday.

Rafidimalala also finished atop the leaderboard in the men's long jump, finishing with a meet-best mark of 7.28m (23-10.75). Rafidimalala, who already owns the program's record at 7.40, now has five of the program's best 10 jumps.

While individual Warriors may compete over the next 10 days, the next big thing on the agenda is the PacWest Championships. Beginning on April 26, the Warriors will play host to the PacWest's best, in the first-ever NCAA Division II Conference Championship on Westmont's campus.
