(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) Westmont Men's Soccer (4-3-1) opened PacWest play by hosting the Golden Eagles of Concordia (3-3-1) at Thorrington Field on Thursday. However, the Warriors couldn't find the net in today's game and fell 2-0 to the Golden Eagles.
 
Concordia's first goal came in the 14th minute of play off of a corner kick by Nathan Nava. Serving the ball in from the left corner, Nava found the head of Jara Domenyk 12 yards from the goal even with the far post. Domenyk set the ball to the right side of the netting to record his first goal of the season.
 
The Eagles put the game away in the 88th minute when a goal kick to midfield was settled by Jonathan Moreno, then forwarded to Bryan Maldonado. Maldonado dribbled goalward, then slotted a ball forward to Dylan Graham who one-touched it with his right foot from 17 yards out, putting it into the left side netting.
 
There were a total of 17 corner kicks taken in the game – nine by the Warriors. Concordia outshot Westmont 19-7 and held a 9-1 shots-on-goal advantage.
 
The Warriors begin a three-game road trip next week, taking on Menlo in Atherton on Thursday, October 9 before heading to the Central Valley for a match-up with Fresno Pacific the following Saturday. The road trip continues the following week at Azusa Pacific on Wednesday, October 15.
