(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) Sage Kramer and Lisa Kiefer each recorded a double-double to help lead Westmont Women's Basketball (14-6, 10-3 PacWest) to a 66-60 win over the Golden Eagles of Concordia (3-17, 2-11). With the win, Westmont completed a perfect 6-0 homestand and won its ninth game in a row.

Kramer and Kiefer each tallied 16 rebounds as the Warriors outrebounded the Golden Eagles 45-30. Kramer scored 16 points for the Warriors and Kiefer contributed 10 points. Both players pilfered the ball three times. It was the second double-double of the season for Kramer and the third for Kiefer.

Also scoring in double-figures was Mariah Brown who tallied 13 points and four assists.

Westmont jumped out to an 8-0 lead with layups by Kramer, Brown and Molly Garnand as well as a pair of free throws from Kramer. The rest of the way, the Warriors never relinquished the lead. In the fourth quarter, however, Concordia pulled within two points (54-52) when Izzy Navarro hit a 3-pointer with 2:39 to play.

Kramer responded on the Warriors next possession with a triple of her own. With a minute and one-half to go, the Golden Eagles' Cadence Tarrant scored on a layup to pull within three (57-54).

Down the stretch, however, the Warriors made nine of 10 free throws to keep the Golden Eagles at bay and secure the win.

With seven games remaining in the regular season, Westmont finds itself in fourth place in the PacWest standings. The Warriors are one and one-half games behind Azusa Pacific and Point Loma who sit atop the standings with conference records of 12-2. Vanguard is in third place with a record of 11-2, one game ahead of the Warriors.

In the seven remaining games, Westmont will play Point Loma and Vanguard twice and Azusa Pacific once. The other two games will be against Academy of Art and Biola.

At season's end, the top six teams will earn a berth in the PacWest Tournament. Vanguard, Menlo and Jessup are not eligible this season as a result of transition years into Division II. The top two teams in the conference standing receive a first round bye in the tournament. Currently, Westmont holds the third seed.

Next week, the Warriors will travel to Vanguard on Wednesday, then return home to host Point Loma on Saturday afternoon.
