In Saturday's match, Austin Stone won at one 7-5, 6-2, Diego De Cooman won at two 6-3, 6-2, and Owen Vander Ark won a three-setter at six 5-7, 6-2, 6-1. Vander Ark was the lone Warrior to pull off a win in both matches over the last few days, as Vander Ark also on Monday by a score of 7-6 (4), 6-3.

"The Warriors battled today against the conference's number-one ranked team," reflected head coach Chris Elwood after Monday's match. "APU was undefeated in the regular season last year, and across the board we played them tough. We won number-one doubles, and lost number-two doubles in a tiebreaker. Austin at number one was playing the number-nine ranked player in the nation, and he won the first set.

"Austin had a real shot at that match in the super-breaker, at one point he was up 5-1. Then for Owen Vander Ark, he pulled out number six in straight sets. APU was a very strong team with four nationally ranked players. I feel like we gave them a good match today, and I am proud of the guys for their efforts."

Westmont will return to action on Friday, when the Warriors host the Biola Eagles at 2:00 p.m.
