(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) Westmont Women's Tennis was back in action on Friday afternoon when they hosted the Eagles of Biola in Santa Barbara. Unfortunately for Westmont, while Biola left the scene with their third win of the year, Westmont left the day with their third loss by a score of 7-0.
 
In doubles, Justie Spitzer and Francesca Aguirre delivered the day's most clear silver lining, when the duo defeated Sophia Truong and Gaby Carvajal 6-4. Biola took care of business at both one and two, however, giving the Eagles the first point of the day.
 
In singles, Aguirre was the lone Warrior to win a set on the day, when the senior opened the match with a 7-5 win over Kailee Mazzeo. Mazzeo responded with a 6-1 win in set two, before winning a tiebreaker 10-8. Elsewhere, Biola won the remainder of their matches in two sets.
 
Westmont will now hit the road for Fresno, where they will battle the Sunbirds at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
