(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) The Westmont Men's Tennis saw their season come to an end this weekend in southern California when the Warriors dropped a pair of matches to PacWest opponents. Westmont dropped a match on Friday against Biola 7-0, before falling to Point Loma by the same score on Saturday.
Â
In La Mirada on Friday, the Eagles swept the Warriors in straight sets, with Westmont's most consistent fight coming from
Austin Stone at line one. On court one, Stone succumbed to Biola's best by a score of 7-5, 7-5. Elsewhere,
Valentin Dignac was the closest any other Warrior got to forcing a third set, as Dignac followed up a 6-1 loss in set one, by falling 7-6 (4) in set two.
Â
In San Diego on Saturday, the Sea Lions also swept the Warriors, with Westmont unable to force a third set on any of the six singles courts. One of Westmont's best fights came on court five, where
Owen Vander Ark fell 6-4, 7-5 to cap off his Westmont career.
