(HILO, Hawaii) Westmont Women's Basketball (11-5, 7-3 PacWest) started its three-game tour of the Aloha State with a convincing 79-46 victory over the Vulcans of Hawai'i Hilo (5-10, 3-7) on Tuesday night.

Molly Garnand lit up the scoreboard with a career-high 25 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in her second double-double performance in as many games. While Garnand was dominating the paint, Sage Kramer caught fire from beyond the arc, going four of seven from 3-point range on her way to 18 points and six rebounds.

Skyler Knight also found success with the long ball, making three of six 3-point field goals. Knight recorded 13 points and four rebounds in her fourth double-digit scoring performance of the season. Noemie Bariteau also reached double-digits, tallying 10 points, dishing four assists and collecting three rebounds. Lisa Kiefer contributed seven points, 15 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals to the Warrior cause.

Westmont took control of the game in the opening frame, outscoring Hilo 19-5. Kiefer started the Warrior scoring by draining a triple to beat the shot clock.

Then, Garnand scored the next 14 Warrior points while going seven of nine from the floor over a six minute span. On both of her misses, she grabbed offensive rebounds and scored on the put-backs.

After a steal by Bariteau, Kiefer closed out the first-quarter scoring with a layup.

Westmont's scoring shifted from inside to outside in the second quarter. Knight tallied nine points, going three for five from the 3-point line. Kramer and Bariteau also found their long-distance range with Kramer tallying seven points in the frame.

In the third quarter, Westmont extended its advantage to 28 points when Kramer hit back-to-back treys to put the Warriors ahead 54-26 with just over six minute remaining in the penultimate period.

In the final minute of the final frame, Bariteau provided the Warriors with its largest margin of 33 points when she tallied three points on an 'and-one' layup, the last of her seven points in the fourth quarter.

As a team, Westmont shot 47.0% from the floor (31 of 66) and 40.7% from beyond the arc (11 of 27). The Warriors dominated the boards, outrebounding the Vulcans 48-24.

Tomorrow, the Warriors will catch an island-hopper flight for a short trip to Oahu. On Thursday, Westmont will take on the Sharks of Hawai'i Pacific (4-6, 5-11). The Sharks hosted Biola on Tuesday, defeating the Eagles 58-53.

Before heading home, the Warriors will face the Silverswords of Chaminade (0-12, 0-8) on Saturday afternoon.
