(HONOLULU) With a 93-44 win over the Silverswords of Chaminade (0-14, 0-10 PacWest), Westmont Women's Basketball (13-5, 9-3) completed a three-game sweep on its Hawaiian road trip. Molly Garnand posted 35 points and 15 rebounds – career highs in both categories – in 28 minutes of play. It was Garnand's fourth career double-double and ties for the eight most points in Warrior's single game records.

"A really great showing by our team today, led by Molly," expressed Westmont's head coach Kirsten Moore. "She has worked so hard and was in incredible rhythm tonight. Obviously, 35 points and 15 rebounds says a lot in and of itself, but the efficiency she did that with was remarkable. She went 15 for 18, including two for three from the 3-point line. It wasn't that she was shooting a lot of shots to get there. She was just really efficient within what we do.

"Credit a lot to her teammates. There were 22 assists, led by Mariah Brown with eight. There were so many contributions from so many different people. Our bench was really sharp today giving us a great lift. Noemie Bariteau got hot from three and also defensively. She had four steals, three assists and 19 points. She has been playing really well."

Bariteau also showed remarkable efficiency, connecting on five of seven from beyond the arc.

"Navine Mallon was such a presence out there with seven points and seven boards," noted Moore. "Also, we had Annie Gibbons off the bench with double-digits. We showed our power and presence inside. I think that is something we have really grown in on this trip."

Mallon was three for four from the floor while Gibbons was five of seven on her way to 10 points.

"It was a great effort on the boards with our team more than doubling their rebounds (42-18)," said Moore. "We are really focused on our defense, as much as we can celebrate tonight's offensive numbers. Holding them to 44 points and creating as much off of our defense as we did with steals, was a good step for us that we want to stay focused on."

After Chaminade's Maddy Weaver recorded the first score of the game on a jumper in the paint, Westmont reeled off the next 19 points. Garnand scored 20 points in the first quarter to lead the Warriors to a 28-6 lead in the initial 10 minutes, after which the game was no longer in doubt.

In the second quarter, Bariteau produced five-of-six shooting, making all three of her shots from beyond the arc, to lead the Warriors with 13 points. At the intermission, Westmont was up 53-16 and had outrebounded Chaminade 25-10.

Sage Kramer tallied seven points in the third quarter to lead the Warriors while Garnand and Bariteau each scored six. With 4:55 remaining on the third-quarter clock, Garnand missed a shot from 3-point range. It was remarkable because it was her first miss after having made her first 13. The Warriors led 74-27 headed into the final frame.

In the fourth quarter, Gibbons and Mallon combined to go six of seven as each tallied six points. Garnand added another five.

Garnand made the most of the team's trip to the Islands this week, recording 68 points and 38 rebounds in the three games.

"We are headed back home and looking forward to doing so," said Moore. "It was great to finish strong here in Hawaii."

Westmont returns to campus for five straight home games beginning on Thursday, January 29 when the Warriors host the Hawai'i Pacific Sharks (5-12, 4-7).
