Jose Licon led Westmont Men's Golf in their second tournament of the season, posting a one-over-par 211 in three rounds to tie for third place at the RCA Electric Fall Invitational at the Tournament Players Club Monterey at Pasadera. Licon tallied a one-under 69 in the first round, 72 in the second round and an even-par 70 in the final round.

Fernando Jimenez tied for 20th place, with a three-round total of 219 (+9). In the second round, he posted a two-under 68.

Playing as an independent was Jeronimo Velazquez who finished in 11th place with a score of 216. Nicholas Rocha and
Peter Jen also played as independents, tying with Jimenez for 20th place. Jen posted a first-round score of 67 (-3) – the lowest round by a Warrior.

As a team, the Warriors finished seventh out of 10 teams, posting a tally of 888 strokes. Westmont was three strokes behind Jessup in sixth place and five strokes behind Chaminade in fifth place.

Westmont edged out Oregon Tech by two strokes, Southern Oregon by 10 and Simpson by 34.

Stanislaus State won the tournament with a score of 857. Menlo took second with 863 strokes, three strokes ahead of Dominican in third and eight ahead of Cal State Dominguez Hills in fourth.

The Warriors will return to the Monterey Bay area next week, competing in the Otter Invitational, hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay, at Bayonet Golf Club in Seaside.
