(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) Westmont Women's Tennis (4-3) has won its second in a row against a PacWest tennis competitor, with the latest foe to fall being to the Concordia Irvine Golden Eagles (0-3) on Tuesday. With the Golden Eagles forfeiting at line three during doubles, the Warriors needed only one the two remaining courts to go their way to secure the day's first point.
Â
That would not be much of an issue for
Justie Spitzer and
Emma Rashid, who dismantled their opponents 6-0 at line two. In singles, CUI once again forfeited at line six, giving Westmont an immediate 2-0 edge. On the court, Westmont's first win came from
Ellie Triplett who won in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 at line four. Next to finish was Rashid at line five, who also won in dominant fashion 6-1, 6-0. CUI took wins at line two and line three, but
Thea Donarski got Westmont an extra point at line one, where she won 6-4, 6-3.
Â
The Warriors will play again down south on Wednesday, when they take on Chapman at noon.
