Â
"I challenged the guys before the match with a quote from Aristotle," said head coach
Chris Elwood. "The quote says, 'excellence is not an act, but it is a habit. We are what we repeatedly do'. After that, the guys brought it today.
Â
"This was quite an energy-filled match. This was probably the most vocal team we've played against, and they also brought a lot of talent. It was awesome to see the guys respond to this environment with such a great win.
Â
"
Driss Sedrati got us started with a quick win on three, followed by Sid Maharana and
Zach Steinberg. Then Diego's super-breaker win was super exciting, coming from behind 7-5 to win five straight points in the end. It was a very quality match, and now the guys get a well-deserved break tomorrow because we are back at it Monday."
Â
On Monday the Warriors play their first PacWest opponent, with Azusa Pacific coming to town for a 2:00 p.m. start.
