(LONG BEACH, Calif.) The Pacific West Conference has announced the 2025-26 All-PacWest Women's Basketball Awards and Westmont senior Lisa Kiefer has repeated as the PacWest Defender of the Year. Kiefer and sophomore Jazmyn Shipp of Bonney Lake, Washington, were named to the All-PacWest Second Team. Junior Molly Garnand from Oro Valley, Arizona, received all-conference honors as a third team selection.

Kiefer, who averaged 11.1 boards per game (11.7 in conference play) is the only PacWest player to pull down a double-digit rebounding average. She ranks 11th among all NCAA DII players.

In conference games, Kiefer ranks second in steals (3.0 per game) and fourth in blocked shots (1.5 per game). The senior from Marburg, Germany is also top-10 in the conference in assists (3.1 per game) and in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.9 per game).

In the Warrior record book, Kiefer's 11.4 career rebounds per game ranks second, just one-tenth behind Tugce Canitez (2011-13). In offensive rebounds, Kiefer is the career record holder for Westmont at 4.6 per game, which is a full rebound-per-game more than Canitez in second (3.55). Her career steal average of 2.6 per game is second only to Amber Stevens (2006-10) who holds the record at 2.9 per game.

Shipp led the Warriors in scoring this season, averaging 12.0 points per game. Her 50.5% field goal percentage is fourth best in the PacWest. She also contributes 5.8 rebounds per game. Despite missing eight of the 22 conference games this season, Shipp drew the attention of PacWest coaches who honored her with selection to the second team.

Garnand averaged 9.8 points and 5.8 rebounds for the Warriors and grew into a significant threat to PacWest opponents. Her 48.4% field goal percentage in conference play ranked her fourth in the PacWest. Her 35 points against Chaminade put her in the top-10 for single-game scoring in Westmont history and helped her earn PacWest Player of the Week honors.

The Warriors (20-8) begin PacWest Championship play tomorrow as the number four seed, taking on fifth-seeded Dominican (21-7) in a quarterfinal game. The tournament will be conducted at Point Loma in San Diego with tip-off scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

Westmont and Dominican met twice in February with the Warriors prevailing 69-64 on Valentines Day in San Rafael and 84-78 on the 21st in Santa Barbara.
