(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) Point Loma (25-5) shot 62.5% from beyond the arc, tallying 60 points on 3-point field goals, to defeat Westmont (18-12) in the PacWest Men's Basketball Tournament championship game by a score of 94-69.

The Sea Lions' first six baskets were all from beyond the arc, leading to an early 18-10 advantage for Point Loma. Westmont was simply not able to keep pace. The 20 treys scored by Point Loma set a new tournament record.

At the end of the first half, Point Loma held a 49-21 lead after landing 11 of 18 3-point attempts.

Westmont was led in scoring by Jarrett Bryant and Aidan Mandel who tallied 15 and 14 points respectively. Both players were named to the 2026 PacWest All-Tournament Team.

Also scoring in double figures were Braedon Bigott with 11 and Trey Thompson with 10. Mandel and Thompson led the team in rebounds with five boards each.

As the PacWest Tournament runner-up, Westmont will have to wait until Sunday's Selection Show to learn if they will be granted a berth in next week's NCAA DII West Regional.

The tournament is made up of eight teams which includes the conference tournament champions from the PacWest, CCAA and GNAC. Saint Martin's (24-5) will take on Alaska Anchorage (21-9) on Saturday night in the GNAC Championship while Cal State East Bay (29-0) will face off against Cal Poly Humbolt (17-13) for the CCAA crown.

In addition to the three conference champions, five at-large teams selected from those conferences will make up the rest of the West Region field. The Selection show will air on Sunday, March 8 at 8:00 p.m. PDT at NCAA.com.
