(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) Three Westmont Men's Tennis players were honored by the PacWest by being named to 2026 All-Conference Teams.

Junior Driss Sedrati of Casablanca, Morocco was named a member of the All-PacWest Singles Second Team while senior Diego De Cooman of Ottignies, Belgium was named to the Singles Third Team. In addition, Sedrati and freshman JD Drake of Shoreline, Washington were named to the All-PacWest Doubles Second Team.

"Driss is one of the most tenacious and passionate players I have ever coached," said Westmont's head coach Chris Elwood. "He is like a mosquito you swat and swat at that just will not go away; he doesn't miss much and runs the court with balance and speed. His lefty forehand and accurate backhand literally drive opponents crazy and it is with sheer pleasure that we hear him yell out "My court!" at the end of a match. This year he broke the Westmont DII record of most matches won in a row with 10.

"Captain Diego is an artist on the court, paint brushing a variety of lines with low slices, high topspin shots, and mixing in 100 mile an hour flat power forehands and backhands. You just can't get a rhythm against him as he also comes into the net with surprise attacks. He is one of the most versatile and entertaining players I have ever coached and he will be greatly missed next year. He played number one and number two singles most of the year, scoring key wins against the likes of Hawaii Pacific, Missouri St. Louis, and Colorado Mesa.

"JD and Driss have a unique combination of sheer power and artistic finesse; JD pounds in 125 mile an hour serves and heavy groundstrokes while Driss knifes volley winners and dissecting angles. They used this blend to defeat the six-ranked Azusa Pacific team and others to lead them to become nationally ranked at number 31."
