SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Playing before an energetic home crowd of fans clad in black for the team's annual "Blackout" night, the Westmont Warriors women's volleyball team dropped a 3–0 decision (15–25, 14–25, 22–25) to Point Loma Nazarene University on Saturday evening at Murchison Gymnasium.
Match Summary
Point Loma established early control behind aggressive serving and an efficient attack, hitting .287 overall with 45 total kills and seven service aces. The Sea Lions produced 16 kills on a .382 hitting clip in the opening frame, then held Westmont to negative hitting in the second set to extend their advantage.
The Warriors found their rhythm in the third frame, putting together their strongest performance of the night. Westmont traded blows with the Sea Lions in a tight battle that featured 16 tie scores and 10 lead changes. The Warriors generated 12 kills in the set, but Point Loma held off Westmont's late charge down the stretch to seal the sweep, 25–22.
- Key Stats: Point Loma held a 45–28 edge in kills and out-blocked the Warriors 10.0 to 5.0. Both teams tied in back-row defense with 47 digs for Point Loma and 43 for Westmont.
- Top Performers: Middle blocker Jordan Weston led the Warriors with seven kills on a .308 hitting percentage along with a block assist. Audrey Hyde posted six kills, two solo blocks, two block assists, and a team-high 11 digs. Camila Cornejo-Farmer added six kills while hitting .357. Setter Sierra McClure dished out 20 assists, and libero Rylee Elias collected eight digs.

"Our two middles—Jordan Weston and Camila Cornejo-Farmer—did a fantastic job tonight, especially with their hitting percentages. We struggled with Point Loma's serve, and hats off to them for putting pressure on us from the service line. We hung with them in certain moments, and set three was definitely one we could have had, but we just committed a few too many errors down the stretch.
"We had a great crowd tonight with former players, former coaches, alumni, and a fantastic student section. The fans were an inspiration to me as a coach and to our team, and we want to keep building on that environment. As we head on the road to Northern California next week, we have to keep fighting, stay resilient, and continue to battle every day in practice."

Westmont (3–7, 0–2 PacWest) hits the road next week for a Northern California road trip, taking on Dominican and Jessup in PacWest action.
