HAYWARD, Calif. — The Westmont Warriors women's volleyball team opened play at the Cal State East Bay Pioneer Gymnasium on Friday, dropping a straight-set decision to San Francisco State in the afternoon (21–25, 13–25, 15–25) before rebounding with a sweep of Northern Michigan (27–25, 25–23, 25–16) in the evening.
Afternoon Match: San Francisco State 3, Westmont 0
In Friday's opener, San Francisco State took control behind an efficient offensive performance, hitting .263 overall with 36 kills. The Warriors stayed competitive in the opening frame, trailing 25–21, before the Gators pulled away in sets two and three
- Key Stats: Westmont registered 30 kills but was hampered by 22 attacking errors (.075 hitting percentage). SF State countered with 36 kills and eight service aces.
- Performers: Audrey Hyde led Westmont with 10 kills and six digs. Middle blockers Camila Cornejo-Farmer and Jordan Weston added five kills each, with Cornejo-Farmer participating in two blocks. Setter Sierra McClure recorded 26 assists and four digs, while libero Rylee Elias anchored the defense with a team-high 12 digs.

"Definitely a rough run, but a bright spot was
Audrey Hyde. She started off the first set hitting .500, but unfortunately, the team was unable to feed off of her. She had a good match, and as our leader, she's been doing incredible."
Evening Match: Westmont 3, Northern Michigan 0
Westmont bounced back in the nightcap with a complete performance to sweep Northern Michigan in three tight sets. The Warriors showed composure in the first two frames—overcoming eight tie scores and five lead changes in the opener to prevail 27–25, before pulling out set two 25–23. Westmont closed out the match in set three, holding Northern Michigan to a -.047 hitting percentage.
- Key Stats: Westmont out-killed NMU 43–34 and hit .171 while holding Northern Michigan to a .107 attacking percentage.
- Performers: Jordan Weston and Camila Cornejo-Farmer delivered efficiency in the middle. Weston hit .417 with a team-high 12 kills, while Cornejo-Farmer added 10 kills on a .471 clip. Audrey Hyde notched a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs. Off the bench, Elarika Eiklor chipped in eight kills. Sierra McClure dished out 34 assists to go with 13 digs, and Rylee Elias collected a game-high 16 digs.

"Totally a tale of two different teams from set one against San Francisco State—a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type of moment. But the team responded to what happened this morning. Shout out to both middles,
Camila Cornejo-Farmer and
Jordan Weston, who had a fantastic day, as did all the blocking. Our team set up some solid blocks and really won the hustle moments. We allowed ourselves to be present in the moment through mistakes, and that was a good turnaround. We have a quick turnaround against Colorado Mines tomorrow, so we have to get some rest and do it all over again."
