Kalen Eddings

Kalen Eddings' coaching career has been defined by a commitment to player development, innovative teaching methods, and program growth at every level of the game. With a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from East Carolina , Eddings blends a scientific foundation with practical coaching expertise to create dynamic, player-centered environments where athletes thrive.

Eddings began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Division II UNC Pembroke, where he was quickly promoted to assistant coach during his first season. During his tenure, the Braves captured back-to-back regular season and conference championships—the first in school history—while advancing deeper in the NCAA Division II tournament than ever before. His early success in recruiting, scouting, and player development laid the foundation for his future impact as a coach.

Since then, Eddings has served in a variety of leadership roles, including head varsity coach at both Cape Fear Christian Academy and Purnell Swett High School, where he was named Coach of the Year after producing 12 college players, all of whom had no prior offers before his guidance. He also gained national and international experience as a camp director, clinic host, and lead trainer for programs in the U.S. and abroad, including Indonesia. During his tenure as a head high school coach, Eddings also opened and operated a basketball training facility, the first of its kind in nearly a 150 miles radius of Eddings' hometown in Pembroke, NC. Here Eddings solely led the development of over 150 recurring monthly players at all levels.

Currently, Eddings is a director and lead trainer with 94 Feet of Game, a global player development company led by Dallas Mavericks assistant and world renowned development coach Phil Handy. In this role, Eddings spearheads external operations, oversees development programming, and represents the organization during the NBA season. He is also the co-director, along with his wife, Keani, of KA Basketball Academy, a non-profit designed to give underserved athletes access to high-level training and mentorship.

Over the course of his career, Eddings has trained and developed more than 50 NCAA and professional athletes while working alongside renowned coaches such as Phil Handy, Cody Toppert, Drew Richards and mentors like Kelvin Sampson and Ganon Baker. His goal remains clear: to leverage basketball as a vehicle for growth, instilling values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience while helping athletes succeed both on and off the court.
