Just head of 2024, Rob Goodrow returned to the coaching staff for his 18th season as part of Westmont Basketball.

Rob Goodrow completed his 17th season as an assistant coach on the Westmont coaching staff in 2022-23, with the first 14 occurring under head coach John Moore before serving as an assistant on coach Landon Boucher's staff. 2022-23 will be Goodrow's 17th season on the Westmont coaching staff.

During his time at Westmont, the Warriors have won three Golden State Athletic Conference regular season championships, including in 2020-21, and have made eight NAIA National Tournament appearances. Before 2021, Westmont had made a program record six consecutive appearances at Nationals dating back to the 2014-15 campaign.

Westmont finished as National Runner-Up in 2014-15, and in the 2019-20 season, the team earned its highest ever seed in the NAIA National Tournament under the current format, the #2 seed in the Liston Bracket, before the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

20 of his players have been named to the All-GSAC Team, while 16 have earned NAIA All-American honors.

“To be included on Coach Boucher’s staff is a real honor," Goodrow said. "It’s exciting to be involved in building on what Coach Moore accomplished, appreciating those successes, and now being a part of the challenge to grow this great program to higher heights.”

Prior to his time back at Westmont, Goodrow assumed the Director of Basketball Operations role at Utah Valley University for the 2011-12 season. The Wolverines won 20 games and the Great West Conference title, appearing in a national post-season tournament for the first time in their Division I history.

From 2005-2011, Goodrow was an assistant coach at Westmont primarily focused on recruiting, scouting, and individual player development. Goodrow got his start on the college level as an assistant coach at Division III Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana from 2003-2005.

"The best thing about being a basketball coach at Westmont is the caliber of basketball players we have in our program –  both in character and competitive performance," said Goodrow. “They truly are ‘Warriors.’"

In addition to coaching, Goodrow served as Sports Information Assistant in the fall of 2019.

Goodrow is a native of Goleta and attended Dos Pueblos High School. He is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and received a master's degree in physical education and coaching from Indiana State University.

Goodrow lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, Trisha, a Westmont College alumna.
