Westmont College Athletics

A Santa Barbara native with extensive experience in coaching, player development, and soccer operations, Oscar Garcia joined the Westmont Warriors Men’s Soccer coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season.

Garcia began his coaching career with the Dos Pueblos High School boys soccer program, where he progressed through the coaching ranks before being named Varsity Head Coach. He has also established himself within the Santa Barbara Soccer Club, where he is entering his third year as a coach. During his time with the club, Garcia has worked with a variety of age groups and currently serves as both a head coach and an assistant coach with the club’s MLS NEXT Academy.

During the summer of 2026, Garcia worked with UC Santa Barbara Athletics as part of the operations staff supporting the Austria Men’s National Team during its training camp in Santa Barbara ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In that role, he assisted with team operations, training sessions, and logistics, gaining valuable experience within an international soccer environment at the highest level of the game.

Garcia holds a United States Soccer Federation “C” License. His younger brother, Diego, graduated from Westmont in the Class of 2026 after competing as a goalkeeper for the Warriors. Garcia is proud to continue his coaching career in his hometown as a member of the Westmont Men’s Soccer program.
