Westmont College Athletics

Trisha Beaudin

During the 2020-21 school year, while serving as Assistant Athletic Director of Operations, Trisha Beaudin led Westmont athletic's COVID testing plan and was largely responsible for the Warriors' opportunity to have a season.

Westmont athletic director Dave Odell received GSAC AD of the Year following the conclusion of the season, and defaulted to the rest of the athletics staff, Beaudin in particular, saying, "In this crazy COVID year, this award is a team award. Our sports information department, athletic training staff and associate AD's deserve recognition. In particular, our assistant athletic director of operations, Trisha Beaudin, kept us on the field as she led our COVID testing plan in addition to all of the other tasks in her job."

Beaudin ran COVID testing through the athletics office all year round, and managed mass testing sites during numerous NAIA Opening Round Tournaments that Westmont hosted, with Beaudin leading the testing of hundreds of athletes ahead of competition.

Beaudin's efforts allowed Westmont athletes to compete in 2021, and they made her efforts worthwhile. During the 2020-21 season, Westmont athletic teams claimed five regular season GSAC championships (men's and women's basketball, volleyball, men's and women's soccer), won a GSAC tournament championship (men's soccer), advanced all 17 programs to postseason play, and participated in 12 NAIA National Championships.

Two teams of note were the Women's Basketball team, who won the National Championship for only the second time in program history, and the Men's Track & Field team, who had three individual National Championships and an overall 4th place finish at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships (their highest finish in program history).
