In the second game, the Warriors scored in the first inning when Colten Christianson laid down an RBI bunt single with two away, Jordan Bottenfield scored from third on the play. Bottenfield had reached on a single up the middle to start the game. Christianson was four for five in the game with two RBIs.

Point Loma evened the score at one-all on an RBI double by Shain Stoner which scored Kuehl from second base.

Both teams also scored a single run in the third inning. Coby Cress singled with one away in the top of the inning, then reached second on a ground ball to third by Tim Leary. Christianson then singled to drive in Cress.

Stoner's RBI single in the third drove in Allen Boyer to account for the Sea Lions' third-inning run.

Westmont took a 3-2 lead in the top of the fifth inning. After Leary singled through the left side with two outs, Christianson single to left field to move Leary to second. An infield single by Brent Fukushima moved everyone up a base, but a throwing error by Point Loma's shortstop allowed Leary to score on the play.

In the bottom of the sixth, Stoner led off with a single up the middle. Edgar Molina then hit a home run to make it a 4-2 game, in favor of the Sea Lions.

Point Loma added three more runs in the bottom of the seventh, the result of a three-run homerun by Rashad Taylor.

The Warriors took three runs back in the top of the eighth to pull within one, but could not come up with another run to tie the game.

Fukushima doubled to lead off the inning and then scored when Mitch Petrak reached on a fielding error by the second baseman. After Petrak took second on a wild pitch, Eric Bateman singled to right to drive in Petrak. Stephen Motush, running for Bateman, advanced to second when Bottenfield was hit by a pitch, then scored on a single up the middle by Cress.

The Warriors and Sea Lions will meet up again on Saturday for a doubleheader at Russ Carr Field. The first pitch is schedule for noon.
