Dan Yokubaitis

Dan Yokubaitis returned to the Warriors to work with the pitching staff ahead of the 2020 season.. Yokubaitis earned All-American honors at UC Santa Barbara before being drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 11th round of the 1983 MLB June amateur draft. Yokubaitis played three years of minor league ball within the Giants organization, concluding with a year at the AA affiliate Shreveport Captains in Louisiana.

In his first season back, the club started the season 18-9 and 13-3 in GSAC play, but saw the season come to an end due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In his second season back on the staff, Yokubaitis helped guide the club through the COVID-19 pandemic. Miraculously, the club was able to play 52 games in 2021 without a single cancelation/postponement due to COVID protocols. The club went 30-22, hosted one of nine NAIA Opening Rounds, and won two games in the tournament before being eliminated by eventual World Series Champion Georgia Gwinnett.

Yokubaitis served as pitching coach for the Warriors from 2007-2009. In addition, he has coached at the high school level at both Dos Pueblos and Bishop Diego, guiding both programs to league championships and CIF Southern Section appearances. Yokubaitis also served as pitching coach for the Santa Barbara Foresters of the National Baseball Congress World Series.

Yokubaitis lives in Santa Barbara with his wife Nancy and serves as a technology teacher at Bishop Diego. They have three sons: Cody, Matt and Casey.
